Rwandan President Paul Kagame has made a significant announcement, granting visa-free travel to all Africans visiting Rwanda, marking the fourth African nation to adopt this policy.

President Kagame emphasized that any African traveler can now fly to Rwanda without any visa fees, highlighting the country's commitment to enhancing tourism. This strategic move aims to tap into Africa's flourishing tourism market, driven by the continent's expanding middle class. Rwanda's efforts to boost tourism have included partnerships with renowned football clubs like Arsenal and Bayern Munich to showcase the nation as an attractive tourist destination.

Joining Seychelles, The Gambia, and Benin, Rwanda is now among the few African countries offering visa-free entry to all African citizens. Additionally, Kenya's President William Ruto has also announced plans to abolish visa requirements for all African visitors by 2024. Several other African nations, including Ghana and South Africa, as well as Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, have recently entered bilateral agreements for visa-free travel, promoting easier movement across the continent.
