Ivory Coast is ready to dazzle the world as it gears up to host the AFCON 2023 tournament in January. In a press event, sporting authorities showcased recently renovated stadiums, emphasizing their commitment to ensuring the success of the event.

François Albert Amichia, President of the Ivorian Organising Committee for the Africa Cup of Nations (COCAN), highlighted the mission to unite the public and the nation's economic forces. "COCON's mission is first and foremost to organize and deliver the operations and infrastructure needed for the success of AFCON 2023," he stated, aiming to build a lasting legacy in terms of services and infrastructure for sport and the people of Côte d'Ivoire.

The tournament, featuring 52 matches, will unfold across five cities: Abidjan, Yamoussoukro, Bouaké, San-Pedro, and Korhogo, each equipped with fan zones. Yacine Idriss Diallo, President of the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF), emphasized the commitment to ensuring security and quality of life in Abidjan, aptly described as "sweet" by locals.

"This will be the second Africa Cup of Nations finals hosted by CAF in Côte d'Ivoire," revealed Yacine Idriss Diallo. Reflecting on the progress, he noted, "For about fifteen years, we had no stadiums in Ivory Coast. The President understood that it was important to offer his young people an environment and conditions in which they could flourish."
Mark your calendars as AFCON 2023 kicks off from January 13 to February 11, 2024, promising a thrilling showdown as 24 teams compete for the continental title on the vibrant grounds of Ivory Coast.
