Victor Osimhen Contemplates Legal Action Against Napoli Over TikTok Incident

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, despite his impressive contributions that helped secure the club's first league title in three decades, finds himself in an unfortunate situation. He's considering legal action against his own club, Napoli, following a controversial TikTok video seemingly mocking his penalty miss.

The peculiar video, now deleted, raised eyebrows as it targeted Osimhen, who scored an impressive 31 goals across all competitions for Napoli. Osimhen's agent, Roberto Calenda, expressed his dismay on Twitter, stating, "What happened today on Napoli's official profile on the TikTok platform is not acceptable." He described the incident as "a serious fact that causes very serious damage to the player" and alluded to the challenges Osimhen has faced in recent times, including media scrutiny and false reports.

Calenda made it clear that they are exploring legal avenues to protect Victor's interests.

The controversial video featured a clip of Osimhen's penalty miss from a recent match against Bologna, accompanied by an unusual, sped-up voiceover. This incident followed a visible on-field disagreement between Osimhen and Napoli manager Rudi Garcia during a recent game.

Adding to the complexity of the situation is Osimhen's contract status. Despite interest from clubs like Manchester United, he has not signed a new contract with Napoli. His current deal extends through the summer of 2025.
